Right, so I ordered this little 50ml bottle of hope during what I can only describe as a moment of optimism and mild curiosity. “100% natural,” it said. “Plant-based,” it whispered seductively. “Long-lasting,” it practically purred. How could one resist?
First impressions: the bottle is small but mighty, discreet enough that it won’t scream “bedroom athletics” from the bathroom shelf. The pump works well—possibly too well. A gentle press and suddenly you’re re-enacting the ice capades across the sheets. Less is more, unless of course you’re going for a full-body slip n’ slide experience!
The smell? Neutral, which is a win in my book. No overpowering whiffs of coconut trying to convince you you’re in the Maldives when you’re clearly in a semi-detached in Milton Keynes.
Texture-wise, it’s like silk in a bottle. Smooth, non-sticky, and if you’re the sort to read ingredients, you’ll be pleased to know there’s not a paraben or petrochemical in sight. I’m not entirely sure what hemp oil does for romance, but I felt very relaxed, if not slightly moisturised in areas I didn’t realise needed it.
Bonus points for being vegan and cruelty-free. Though, let’s be honest, after using this, cruelty wouldn’t have stood a chance anyway—it’s all very gentle.
In summary: it glides, it slides, and if you’re not careful, you might as well be auditioning for Dancing on Ice. A fun addition to the arsenal, just don’t underestimate the power of plants and a well-placed pump. A highly recommended Lube this!
